Waiting Game…

I’ve bought a Dishwasher.  I bit the proverbial bullet and bought one.  We used to have one in our old home as there was a place for it, but when we moved to the village, even though this kitchen is five times bigger, there was no space for it.  Now, when I say no space, I really mean there are cupboards everywhere, on three walls to be exact.  A space for a washing machine, but not a dishwasher too.

As you all know, M has mobility problems, this also includes standing at the kitchen sink washing dishes (I’m the cook), and I either wash the pots and pans or buy a machine to do the job, so I picked the latter, it made sense, but I will have to remove part of a cupboard to get it fitted in and sort out the plumbing, which should not to be too hard to do.  However, and there always is a however or a but.  I could have delivery on Saturday, which could be anytime between 7am and 7pm, which was not convenient as I had to go out and get groceries, take M to places and other things, so I paid for Sunday delivery.  Last night I received an SMS and email saying it would be delivered between 7:15 and 11:15.

I am logged on to their portal to see where the delivery is and this is what I see, oh it is 07:50 right now.

So it has not even been despatched.  I was up early, Sunday, so-called day of rest to wait for something that has not been despatched.  I bet it will be here about 11am.  I am not really complaining, as I am an early bird really, which is a good job as my career choice dictated I had to be up between 4:00am and 4:30am which for many is the middle of the night.

Think it is time for a cup of tea.
