Hi, I’m Mr Knitter, I am a Baron and a Reverend and live in the North of the UK with my Husband and two dogs, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Harper-Lee, and an English Springer Spaniel Mazikeen.
I have far too many hobbies, including photography, reading, writing, gardening and of course, knitting.
I learned to knit when I was a kid, but it was a short-lived thing due to lack of funds for yarn, or interesting things to make, I gave it up. Wind forward to me at the age of 43. There was something on TV and I happened to mention to my partner I could knit. Needless to say, he was very surprised, especially since I’d never mentioned it before. That was all the encouragement I needed, and picked up some needles from the shops and started knitting again. I enjoy the process of knitting and the final result of having something to show for all the effort.
Some of my photography has been published as book covers and also featured on the BBC. I am currently working on writing a book of poetry, and a novel, which is taking some time, but I go by the advice of Stephen King, that it can take a long time to write. You can see my photography at The Knitted Lens.
