Spring

Spring is slowly turning into summer here on the 54th parallel north, I wonder how it is in Unalaska Island who is on the same degree of latitude as us.

We may not have the sprawling majesty of Alaska but our lake is looking very pretty right now. All the wild growth around it is doubling in size each week, the bull rushes are racing to the sky and the herons are visiting to get lunch.

Another Morning Walk

We decided to go for a walk this morning, first round the lake, then we decided to go to the beach again. Harper was very skittish over the sea and kept running away.  I took her out on the part of the beach that had dips in the sand that was full of seawater, she misjudged one and ended up soaked, but all in all enjoyed it.  I don’t think she will be in love with the sea as Lilu was, but I will keep trying.
